If you talk to any Doberman breeder, you’ll soon hear about that one person who inquires on a new litter asking for a natural puppy without cropped ears or a docked tail. Unfortunately, if these natural Dobermans ever find their way to a shelter or rescue, they’re typically the last to get adopted. This is why most reputable breeders in America only sell dogs that are both cropped & docked, as it’s usually easier to re-home them if needed. However, if you happen to be a floppy ears lover trying to find a natural, these rescues are typically full of them.
